About

Angela is a senior clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with children, young people, parents, and families struggling with complex mental health difficulties. She completed her tertiary studies at the University of Melbourne (Bachelor of Arts (Honours)), and Monash University (Doctor of Psychology - Clinical) where she obtained specialist training in working with children, young people and families. Angela has extensive experience working in public and private mental health settings, providing thorough psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention, and short and long-term psychotherapy. She has published and presented adolescent mental health research domestically and internationally.

Angela is committed to ongoing professional development and has completed specialist training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), in addition to her formal training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). Angela also takes a psychodynamically-informed and systemic approach in working with clients to understand their experiences.

Angela’s style is warm and friendly whilst still being direct and challenging where needed. Angela understands how daunting it is to reach out for support, and is passionate about working collaboratively with clients to achieve genuine change.
